Good evening Parlier Unified Families,
While we strive to provide quality internet and network service to our staff and students, every now and then maintenance of the network interferes with performance. We were notified today by Comcast that emergency maintenance will be taking place tomorrow, December 17th, sometime between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. We have also been notified that this may cause a disruption of service for a window of approximately two hours.
Because we don't have a definitive set time, teachers will make every effort to provide students with activities that are not internet dependent, yet continue to engage students. Once Comcast notifies the District when they are about to begin the project, we will immediately send out a notice to staff and families of the interruption of the internet. This outage will most likely impact all of Parlier Comcast customers as well as our families working with Parlier Unified hotspots.
As you know, these are challenging times, and as always, we appreciate your patience and understanding, especially as distance learning has made all of us more dependent on technology than ever. Thank you.
